Former ITV News Presenter Alastair Stewart Announces He Has Dementia

After 5 decades as news reporter former ITV News presenter Alastair Stewart retired from regular GB News broadcasting earlier this year. The 71-year-old Alastair Stewart did his final program on GB news there he is conducting a discussion program with his friends.

Alastair Stewart is a news reporter who delivers news and current affairs also he conducts the evening, lunchtime news, and News at Ten for ITV. He did more than 35 years of work in broadcasting but left in 2020.

He told GB News program The Camilla Tominey Show on Sunday,

I mean, the headline story and it is relatively dramatic, I suppose, is that about six, nine months ago, I began to feel one of my favorite words, a bit discombobulated. I wasn’t becoming forgetful but things like doing your shoelaces properly – that’s how I wear these lovely moccasins now – making sure your tie was straight, remembering that the call time for your program is four o’clock and not five o’clock, not turning up early or late, and stuff like that.

Alastair Stewart revealed that at present he suffers from dementia. After going to see his GP he was prescribed for a scan. In the scan report, he found out he had serious “minor strokes that are called infarct strokes” that led to a diagnosis of vascular dementia.
