Meta’s open-source artificial intelligence (AI) language model, llama 2, was launched in July and is spread by Microsoft’s cloud Azure services. It competes with ChatGPT, and Google’s Bard.
The system, the details of which may still change, will help other firms build services that generate advanced text, analysis, and other output. The newspaper reported that Meta expects to begin training the new artificial intelligence system, which it calls a “large language model,” in early 2024.
The Journal report said,
“Meta Platforms, the Facebook parent company, plans to launch its new AI model next year, The system is expected to be significantly more powerful than the commercial version, known as Llama 2,”
